The JROTC program is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. This lesson reviews the birth of the JROTC program as well as its purpose of enabling students to meet their goals for success.

Black Student Union is a safe place for students of African American heritage to discuss topics on race, social injustice and to educate others on the daily struggles on being a Black person in America and to help amplify Black voices.

Students meet to discuss local climate change issues and tackle projects within the school/community.  Students have been involved in everything from climate marches downtown Tacoma, climate strikes, recycling efforts in the building and presenting to classes about the impacts of climate change. Students also use this space as a place to discuss/vent about issues related to environmental awareness.

Magic club seeks to promote social interaction amongst students with common interests, develop self-confidence and communication skills, encourage rational thinking and logical conflict-resolution, and to create a safe, non-judgmental space.  We also play the legendary trading card game:  Magic, The Gathering!  Many formats: commander, pauper, modern, draft, casual.  Free Cards!  Beginner's welcome!
