Week of Jan. 23 Lincoln's Latest Newsletter

Good evening, Lincoln families!

There are only 9 school days left of the 1st semester

Saturday, January 28th will be a “Scholar Saturday” opportunity where students can take advantage of working with teachers at school from 8:00am-12:00pm.  Continue to encourage your student to put in the extra effort by connecting with their teachers to find out what they can do and staying after school to improve grades these last two weeks of the 1st semester.

Emphasis on safety

  • We’ve made some adjustments to our lunch supervision to ensure students stay on campus to keep Lincoln as safe as possible. Students can eat in the cafeteria or in pre-arranged classrooms.  If students want to be outside  during lunch, they can be in the courtyard between the pool and the cafeteria.  Thank you for your support as we work hard to keep all students safe at school.
  • If you need to pick up your student prior to the end of the school day, please arrange an early release with our attendance office by emailing lincolnattendance@tacoma.k12.wa.us or calling 253-571-6676.

Resources for Families Concerning Violence in our Community
When violence occurs in our communities, we know it deeply effects our students, their families, and our own school staff. And when the victims are young people, the impact is often more pronounced.

It’s important that the adults in our children’s lives are listening a little more intently right now.

We have a number of resources to help families help children after tragic events:

Our school counselors are also available to talk to your child.

Please know our team at Lincoln is here to support all of our students. Please reach out. We want to hear from you.

No School February 3rd

There’s no school for students in grades 6-12 on Friday, Feb. 3, due to semester break.
