The first practice of the season at Lincoln High School’s newly completed baseball, fastpitch and tennis courts was a whirlwind of excitement. Players eagerly stepped onto the bright green ballfields and freshly striped tennis courts, ready to tackle the season.

Coach Minh Nguyen, Coach Kevin Smith, Coach Preston Jones and Coach Haylie Tulupan each led their teams with drills and exercises, setting the tone for the season ahead.

The new athletic grounds include baseball and fastpitch fields, eight tennis courts, restrooms, dugouts, batting cages, and various facilities and infrastructure just north of the Lincoln Bowl. The ballfields and play area are synthetic turf to provide year-round use.

A special ceremony to mark the occasion and celebrate the hard work will take place this April. Stay tuned for details.
