Lincoln student raises awareness about disability discrimination

Lincoln High School student Kyrsten B. is using her voice and life experience to raise awareness about disability discrimination.

Kyrsten lives with Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Congenita, a rare condition that causes short stature and skeletal differences. But do not underestimate her abilities or achievements.

She recently presented to Lincoln staff, who were so moved and impressed that they asked her to present to all Lincoln students.

Kyrsten wants people to see disabled individuals—not as less capable, but as people with unique experiences, talents, and voices worth listening to. She also encourages everyone not to shy away from offering help.
