This August, community organizations across Tacoma are hosting free back-to-school events for students and families. Check out the schedule below to learn more. We will continue to add event information as we get details. 

Kids Health & Safety Fair 

The Tacoma Police Department and Metro Parks have partnered to provide this free family event. Event includes resources and information for youth such as bike helmets, school supplies, backpacks, school supplies, haircuts and more. ]

When: August 24, 2024 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Back to School Jam

Puget Sound Foursquare and other neighboring churches are hosting a free school supply giveaway event for Pierce County students. Event includes school supplies, lunch and inflatable toys. Providing free haircuts, face painting and a clothing bank as well. Serving students in a first-come, first-served event

When: August 24, 2024 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Communities in Schools is hosting a free school supply giveaway event for Pierce County students.
